Representing the Provincial Executive Power, the Executive Manager Director of the Investment promotion Agency, Gonzalo Medina Cabrera, together with the Secretary of State for Planning, explained to the legislators the work carried out in relation to the Free Trade Zone, described a few days ago in the execution of the agreement between the Governor Arabela Carreras and President, Alberto Fernández.
During the meeting, she explained in detail the initiative to carry out this project, highlighting the cross-cutting aspect of public policies with the purpose of obtaining a diversity of investments.
"It was a work of more than a year, we promoted this project of law from different areas of government, that confirms the agreement that was executed with the Nation", emphasized Medina Cabrera.
In relation to the economic impact that the opening of a Free Trade Zone means, the Executive Manager of “RN Invierte” highlighted the industrial-export aspect of this project, which in the framework of the Green Projects aimed at the area, implied the development of different strategies to respond to the possible demand of new companies that want to be more competitive in this area.
"The Free Trade Zone is also a main aspect for the companies that are currently in Río Negro and which continue to invest, to give it a new export bias through the free trade zone", he explained.
Regarding the discussion of the project by the legislators, Medina Cabrera pointed out that it was a "pleasant and respectful debate", and they closed the meeting with a warm and unanimous applause as a result of the approval of the project to be dealt with in the Legislature.
