On April 1, Gonzalo Medina, Executive manager of the Agency, attended an open talk with residents of the city, where he explained the scope of the project and the participants had a time for questions.
With the support of the local mayor, Renzo Tamburrini, and the legislator of Juntos Somos Río Negro, Roxana Fernández, the Executive manager of “Río Negro Invierte” spoke about what a Free Trade Zone is and how it is created and why Sierra Grande is the best place for it.
He analyzed in detail the project and its benefits that will have an impact on the area, as well as on the provincial and national level. In a collaborative and open space, the official answered the different questions of those present, who showed great interest in the project promoted by the provincial government.
The Free Trade Zone in the city of Sierra Grande is a project that took more than a year to be developed, which was approved by the national and provincial legislature at the end of last year.
Medina highlighted its importance as a new industrial-export zone, providing conditions for the arrival of new companies that want to develop in a competitive way, as well as the possibility of strengthening the companies already installed in our province.
Before the open talk, the official held a meeting with the owner of Hierro Patagónico Rionegrino Sociedad Anónima (Hiparsa), Adrián López, some commercial representatives of the zone. Also, the managers of the Banco de la Nación Argentina and Banco Patagonia, the Head of the Post Office, prominent members of the city, in order to analyze the scope and technical aspects of the implementation of the zone.
