Green Hydrogen: the Government presented the project of law in the JSRN's party block

The Minister of Economy, Luis Vaisberg, the Secretary of Planning, Daniel Sanguinetti, the Secretary General of the Government, José María Apud, the Secretary of the Environment, Dina Migani, the Legal and Technical Secretary Guillermo Ceballos attended the meeting. Also, the Secretary of Electric Energy, Néstor Pérez, the Executive Manager of the investment promotion agency Río Negro Invierte, Gonzalo Medina Cabrera, the Head of Water Resources of the DPA (in spanish), Daniel Petri, on behalf of Fernando Curetti and the president of the official’s block, legislator Facundo López attended the meeting. 

Daniel Sanguinetti, the Secretary of Planning, started the presentation and explained the actual status of the project. He also answered different queries from legislators to learn more about the projects presented by the provincial government, which in the next few days will be dealt with in commissions and later in session.

This is the project of the Government to declare of provincial public interest the private initiative presented by the Argentine company Fortescue Future Industries SA within the scope of Law A No. 3484 to carry out all the necessary infrastructure works for the generation of renewable electric energy, exclusively for the production of the so-called green hydrogen and its by-products.

The other initiative that is part of the project includes the setting up of the agency that will aim at starting up the free trade zone of Río Negro, which will operate under the name of "Corporación Punta Colorada".

The series of meetings of the provincial officials with the legislative blocks will continue on Thursday from 8:00 a.m. with the Frente de Todos party, and in the afternoon, with the Frente Renovador and Juntos por el Cambio parties.
