The Hydrogen Law "will open new markets for Rio Negro"

Gonzalo Medina Cabrera, Director of the RN Invierte Agency, stated, "This law is very necessary to provide a regulatory framework for these large investments such as Fortescue's and the next ones that may come."

The National Executive Branch recently sent the projects for the promotion of low-carbon hydrogen and other greenhouse gases and the promotion of liquefied natural gas (LNG).

"The need to generate cleaner energies is a new phenomenon at a global level, to provide solutions and work to those sectors that have not yet been able to develop scientifically, economically and commercially," explained the Director.

Regarding the importance of new investments, he pointed out that besides Fortescue, there are also other interested companies. "We are in contact with other companies that are carrying out prospecting analyses in Río Negro, and the province is already working on them; that is why this law will give us a chance for these investments to stay in the province," he said with expectation.
