Governor Arabela Carreras met this Tuesday 22 with six Master students of Engineering from the Delft University of Technology (TU Delft) of the Netherlands, who will be in the country for a period of two months, analyzing the possibility to develop a port of the Free Trade Zone and the export of Green Hydrogen in Sierra Grande.

The Governor, Arabela Carreras, met at the Government House with the Secretary of State for Planning, Daniel Sanguinetti who, together with the Secretary of Strategic Development, Mercedes Ibero, and representatives of the consulting firm CFG Planeamiento, gave details of the first visit to the community of Sierra Grande for the Green Hydrogen project.

Daniel Sanguinetti, Secretary of State for Planning and Vice-president of INVAP, and Hugo Brendstrup, President of Eólica Rionegrina S.A. (ERSA), met with the Mayor of Los Menucos, Mabel Yahuar, to discuss issues related to the development of the city.

The State Secretariat of Planning will have a stand at the Viedma racing circuit in order to promote the commitment of the Provincial Government with the care of the environment, through sustainable development.

Daniel Sanguinetti, Secretary of Planning, led the first meeting of the technical team that will implement the Core Project for the Territorial Urban Development of Punta Colorada area. CFG Planeamiento is the consulting company, whose work will be financed by CFI and will last for six months.

As part of the summer activities carried out in the main tourist destinations, the Province continues to inform tourists and visitors to Las Grutas and Playas Doradas about the importance of the development and production of clean energy.

Daniel Sanguinetti, Secretary of State for Planning, explained that from now on, as provided in the private initiative regime set forth in Provincial Law No. 3484, a board will be held to start dealing with the issue and make the corresponding amendments to the proposal in order to then proceed to the public bidding process.

"We are going to propose an opportunity to mitigate the effects of climate change with the generation of new energies from Sierra Grande to the world." This was stated by the Governor, Arabela Carreras, who highlighted the recent incorporation as a private initiative of the executive project of the company Fortescue Fortune Industries to advance in the production of Green Hydrogen in the region.

From this weekend until the end of the summer season, tourists will enjoy rides in the first electric car in the province, educational stands and information about environmental awareness at the Las Grutas and Playas Doradas beach areas.
